Detour Village to Drummond Island
Hyper-Lapse Video of my entire trip, including crossing on the ferry and the long. winding road home
I get a lot of people asking what it's like having to ride a ferry to get home. The other question I hear often is just how far out there are you? So, I decided to do a quick Hyper-Lapse video condensing a 30 - 45 minute ride into a minute and a half! The video begins with the arrival into Detour Village. Once there, it’s a right turn to jump into the ferry line, and then you wait! During the summer months both ferries will typically be running non-stop, also known as ‘Running Wild’, between Detour Village and Drummond Island. However, it is still sometimes an hour or two wait, but well worth it though. Once we drive off the ferry, it’s about a 5 mile drive before the turn-off to my road, Pike Bay Rd. Then it’s through the tunnel, and on our way down one the most twisty and curvy roads you'll ever see!
Enjoy!!
