GRAVEL ORB

Way back in the early 90’s, I took my first photography class. One of our projects was to carry a glass sphere with us while shooting, and compose an image through the glass. Just recently, I found a box that had the sphere in it! So I decided to add it back into my camera bag and play around. The Gravel Sphere was taken on the back of my property on Drummond Island. I set up on a tripod right on the shoreline after a dusting of snow. The tree made an excellent blur of green for the backdrop, keeping the lake in perfect focus. It’s such a magical view.
